The drama didn’t stop when Trisha Goddard walked out of the Celebrity Big Brother house — in fact, it seems to have just kicked off. The TV veteran, who was recently evicted from the ITV series, found herself in a seriously awkward moment with CBB legend Tiffany Pollard during a spin-off show appearance, and now we finally know what caused the on-air tension.
Trisha, 67, had joined Late & Live alongside Tiffany, 43, and from the moment they sat down, viewers could tell something was off. Things took a turn when Tiffany suddenly brought up what happened backstage, saying: “That’s why you were so rude to me upstairs during the debriefing when you told me that I was small, because you felt at home to be rude to the HBIC.”
Trisha laughed it off and tried to change the subject, saying, “We’ll talk about that later, Tiffany,” but the vibe got even icier when Tiffany responded with a sarcastic, “She plays such a good game, the game is still on, Trisha.”
Now, Tiffany’s finally spilled the beans on what went down. Speaking to The Sun’s Celebrity Big Brother Breakdown podcast, she claimed Trisha made a sly dig about her role during the pre-show briefing. “They were explaining my segment to me, and I was gonna be a news anchor. She was like, ‘Oh, but it’ll be a very small-time news anchor,’” Tiffany said.
Not one to let things slide, she fired back: “Do not throw shade up here at me; wait till we go downstairs and the cameras are on us because we can really go at it.” Trisha, according to Tiffany, tried to backtrack by saying it was actually a compliment, suggesting that being a “small-town, small-time TV host” meant you were good at what you do — but Tiffany wasn’t buying it. “You would think it was shade when she said it,” she added.
Despite the behind-the-scenes fallout, Trisha has kept things light in public. After her eviction, she spoke about how important the show was for her personally. Having been diagnosed with terminal breast cancer, she described her time in the CBB house as a much-needed break from treatment and constant worry. “It meant a lot—it was respite… I didn’t have to think of the next scan,” she said.
But if Trisha thought the house was intense, it seems the real fireworks started the minute she left.
