Celebrity Bake Off fans were left baffled after Jesy Nelson appeared on the show with "absolute hygiene nightmare" long nails.
The star-studded version of the Channel 4 baking challenge, in aid of Stand Up To Cancer, featured singer Jesy as well as Friends star David Schwimmer, New Zealand comedian Rose Matafeo and actor Tom Davis. However, as the baking got under way, Jesy had to be helped by judge Prue Leith as she faced trouble over her long nails.
Jesy, who rose to fame as a member of girl group Little Mix, admitted she “hadn’t thought them through.” And viewers were quick to pick up on the issue.

Taking to Twitter, one person wrote: “Did nobody advise Jesy Nelson in advance of appearing on Bake Off about what she'd actually be doing on the programme? The state of those talons!!”
A second said: “Our thoughts are with Jesy Nelson’s manicurist at this tough time.” A third person added: “Those nails are an absolute hygiene nightmare,” and a fourth wrote: “How is Jesy going to get any baking done with nails like that?"
The celebs were tasked with taking on a fiddly French confection and then asked to recreate their most embarrassing celebrity fail in meringue, reports The Mirror. The celebrity special features 20 well-known faces in total, who will all battle it out to be star baker.
They include Loose Women's Judi Love and Coleen Nolan, Olympian Tom Daley and reality star Gemma Collins.
