Celebrities share unrecognisable childhood snaps for new campaign by Kate Middleton

The nation's favourite celebrities have joined forces to share a bunch of childhood photos on social media, with fans blown away by the unrecognisable snaps.

People have gone wild for the throwback pictures which have come from radio hosts, reality stars, celebrity chefs and fashion designers - and you may have trouble recognising them all.

The stars have come together in support of Kate Middleton's early years campaign, Shaping Us, which aims to "give generations of children the best start in life".

First up is a member of a popular 90s girl group who shared a picture of herself wearing an adorable knitted poncho.

The singer, now 48, rose to fame as one fifth of the Spice Girls and enjoyed years of musical success before turning her hand to fashion designing.

Victoria Beckham, who is well-known for her years spent as Posh Spice, shared a picture from when she was three years old and said she had already started "experimenting with fashion".

In the snap, she crouched beside a toy pram and frowned at the camera.

A former professional footballer also joined in on the action and showed how he got started on his career goals when he was just four years old.

Victoria's husband David Beckham laughed as he said he was "practicing free kicks" as a child.

The 33-year-old has since turned to presenting shows such as This Morning and often appears alongside her husband.

Sharing a throwback picture, Rochelle Humes wrote: "Little me.. 4 years old. I hear double denim is back.. ahead of the curve... Our early childhood shapes the rest of our lives."

He has gone on to open a string of restaurants and released a number of popular recipe books.

Jamie Oliver shared an adorable snap of himself wearing brown corduroy pants as he roller skated down the street at five years old.

Alongside the picture, he said: "Check out how happy I look in my brown cords, trackie top and strap-on roller skates!

"I feel so lucky I had a great childhood, growing up in my mum and dad's pub.

This next celebrity rose to fame in the 90s, presenting children's TV and radio shows. She's enjoyed a long career and has even gone on to write an incredible eight books.

Fearne Cotton posted a picture of herself at four years old, wearing denim overalls and a blue patterned top.

She said it was "the age I started to cultivate my own style," adding that she also "started to get super passionate about art and creativity" at this time.

"One of my favourite memories is my mum making me my own mermaid tail out of old curtains, because I was obsessed with the little mermaid! I would lay on the floor and flip about with my tail on!

"I also have so many memories of being SO excited for my daddy to come home from work.

"He would race down the M25 to get home to me as soon as possible, to try and see me before I went to sleep," Zara wrote.
