Celebrate International Women's Day On March 8 With Hong Kong's Leading Female Chef Vicky Lau

On International Women’s Day this March 8, chef-owner Vicky Lau will be hosting a special cocktail-pairing dinner at her Michelin-starred Tate Dining Room in Hong Kong (designed by interior designer-architect JJ Acuna), to benefit The Women’s Foundation

Vicky Lau is the first chef to receive the Best Female Chef award from Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants back in 2015. Today, her Hong Kong-based Tate Dining Room, which reopened in 2017 on Hollywood Road, after a redesign by interior designer- architect JJ Acuna, holds a Michelin star (since 2013) and remains one of the city’s most highly regarded restaurants.

For International Women’s Day this March 8, 2019, Vicky will be hosting two culinary events. Proceeds will be donated to The Women’s Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of women in Hong Kong through research, community programs, education and empowerment of the female voice. “In such a competitive field as F&B, it’s important for us women to encourage each other to break barriers. I owe a lot of my achievements today to the strong and powerful women I have been inspired by in the past,” shares Vicky. “Similarly, I hope to be able to empower aspiring female chefs.”

From 11AM to 2PM, Vicky will host a private cooking class at V-Zug Hong Kong. A hands-on demonstration with a total of three dishes, the class is priced at HK$2,500 per student (maximum of 10), and is inclusive of a glass of Ruinart Blanc de Blancs, and a three-course lunch. All proceeds will be donated towards The Women’s Foundation.

Priced at HK$1,680 per guest; cocktail pairing is an additional HK$480, 15% of proceeds from the evening will be donated to The Women’s Foundation.
