Celeb Gogglebox's Woody Cook reveals he was 'heckled' at parties over famous dad

Woody Cook admits he was often heckled by fellow teenagers when he was at house parties over his dad Fatboy Slim's music.

The budding DJ and producer who is set to headline the upcoming Tour de Dance has previously spoken about wanting to carve a name for himself, rather than being the son of Zoe Ball and Fatboy Slim, whose real name is Norman Cook.

But while Woody rarely shares insights into his personal life with his parents, he admits that while as a teenager at parties, other teens often attempted to tease him due to his dad's music.

During an exclusive chat with The Mirror before his headline set on November 9, he explained: "No one, when I was a kid pretty much cared.

"It was only when I got a bit older, I mean, it started really at house parties when I was like 17.

"There was one time when we were all trying to sleep and there was these random people I didn't know and they kept yelling 'Alright Fatboy Son, keep it down!' and some other stuff and they were like, 'Oh should I Praise You?'

"I couldn't even clap back, usually I'd just shout stuff back at them but it was just kind of sad because I was just sat there and couldn't talk, I was drunk."

He added: "I was slowly getting these heckles, to be fair, most of the time it's funny.

"He comes on and they joke 'Oh who put this s**t on.'"

While Woody may be used to playing events such as Glastonbury and clubs, he admits that he's excited but he has to change up how he performs.

"I like to have a drink while DJing but I don't think drinking and cycling is a good idea," he said before continuing: "How do you even balance? Most of the time I'm used to dancing and being an idiot.

"I'm not used to not being able to move as much and then having to try and balance a set and a bicycle."

Woody joked: "Do I sacrifice messing up a mix or cycling into a lamppost, what's more important?

"I think I can hit a lamppost and carry on."

Speaking about the event, he explained: "The Tour de Dance is to encourage people to get on two wheels and see the city more from a new perspective."
