Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins saved the team in multiple ways during their series finale against the Mariners on Sunday.
During the ninth inning in a 3–2 game, Mullins made a sensational catch to rob Ty France of a home run, picking the ball from over the wall and bringing it back into the field. But two pitches later, the game was tied up by a solo shot from Dominic Canzone.
Mullins came up to bat in the 10th inning and delivered what would end up being the game-winning two-run home run, as Baltimore picked up an important 5–3 win.
With his late-game robbery and subsequent go-ahead home run, Mullins became the first player in the last decade to record both feats in the ninth inning or later of the same game, according to ESPN Stats and Info.
Mullins’s catch was a jaw-dropping highlight, and Orioles broadcaster Kevin Brown delivered a perfect call on the play.

Mullins got all of his home run, too, launching it 364 feet into the stands in right field, his 10th of the year. It was quite the game for the 28-year-old, especially considering he wasn’t even in the Orioles’ starting lineup for Sunday’s game.
