Police have launched a CCTV appeal following an assault at a North Tyneside Metro station.
On December 23, a 16-year-old and his friend reported that they were verbally abused on the Metro line.
When they got off at their stop at Four Lane Ends Metro Station, the two were followed and the teenager reports he was then punched in the face.

It was also reported that he was further attacked by an unknown man.
Several passengers intervened and a separate man was also reportedly punched by the offender.
The teenage victim then made his way home and called the police.
Northumbria Police launched an investigation and have carried out several lines of enquiry, including speaking to witnesses and reviewing CCTV of the area.
They are now releasing an image of a man and woman who were seen in the area at the time of the disturbance and officers believe could help with vital enquiries.
