CCTV of man issued after woman sexually assaulted in Coyote Ugly bar

Police have released a new CCTV picture of a man they would like to speak to after a woman was sexually assaulted in Liverpool City Centre.

At around 8.50pm on Sunday, April 30, it was reported a man touched a woman inappropriately at Coyote Ugly, on Bold Street. The man was removed from the premises by security and then left the area.

Extensive CCTV and witness enquiries have been conducted by Merseyside Police, and we have now issued a CCTV image of a man we believe could assist in the investigation.

Detective Inspector Neil Dillon said: “This was a disgraceful assault on a woman and we are determined to find the person responsible. We are taking this incident extremely seriously and I am appealing to the man featured in this image, or anyone who recognises him, to come forward.

"We believe he could hold information that could be vital to our continuing enquiries. If anyone has suffered a sexual offence and can find the courage to come forward and speak to us, we will deal with you sensitively and make sure that reports are thoroughly investigated."
