A CCTV appeal has been launched after an angle grinder was used to steal a bike in Wallsend.
Northumbria Police launched an investigation after it was reported that a bicycle had been stolen outside Hadrian Leisure Centre on the afternoon of September 28.
Officers were told an offender used an angle grinder to remove the lock before stealing a bicycle that had been left outside the venue.

Officers have now identified a man who they would like to speak to in connection with the theft. Northumbria Police have released a still of CCTV footage which they hope will lead to the man being identified.
He was seen in the area at the time and could be able to assist their investigation.
