Detectives have released a CCTV image after a reveller was hit on the head with a bottle at a city centre bar. Greater Manchester Police says the victim was left with a large cut to the head following the attack at The Northern Monkey, on Dantzic Street.
Officers have been investigating the incident since it took place last August 13 and have today (January 11) released an image of a man they wish to speak to. GMP says the man pictured could help them with their enquiries.
The force is also appealing for any further information from witnesses. A spokesperson for GMP said: "At around 8:30pm on Saturday, August 13 2022, on Dantzic Street at The Northern Monkey bar officers responded to reports of a serious assault.
"The victim suffered a large cut to the head after being struck with a bottle. Officers and detectives are still investigating and are now in a position to ask for information from the public that could help with their enquiries, in particular this man who they can believe can help with the investigation."
Anyone with information that could help detectives with their investigation is urged to call GMP on 0161 856 4275 or 101, quoting log number 1716 of August 15, 2022, or use the Live Chat feature on the force's website. Alternatively, information can be shared anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
