CCTV footage has shown the moment $50,000 worth of tobacco was stolen from a north Queensland store, carried away in a blanket.
Police allege the cigarettes were stolen from a Paget store on Broadsound road at about 2am on October 28.
The footage shows three, hooded men using a crowbar to open a shopping centre sliding door.
Two of the men are then seen to be raiding the drawers of an open-standing tobacco shop inside the centre, emptying boxes of tobacco and other items into what appears to be rubbish bin.
A second clip shows a man hoisting a tied-up blanket filled with tobacco over his shoulder and running to the exit, as some of the contents of the sack spills to the ground.
In the footage, the remaining two men are seen following behind and picking up the fallen goods.
Police are appealing for any additional CCTV, dashcam footage or information about the incident to contact them.
