Police have launched a CCTV appeal after two teenage girls were attacked in a McDonald's in Newcastle city centre.
At around 9pm on April 23, it was reported two 14-year-old girls had been at McDonald’s on Northumberland Street when they were approached by a group of women they did not know, and then were allegedly assaulted.
The victims, who sustained minor injuries to their arms and legs, then called the police.

Police began investigating with officers speaking to several witnesses and reviewing CCTV of the incident in the fast food restaurant.
Police officers are now asking anyone who might have been in the area at the time to get in touch. As part of their inquiries, police have issued CCTV images of two women who were in the area at the time and may have information that can assist the investigation.
The women, anyone who knows them, or anyone with information which can assist is asked to contact the police using the 'Tell us Something' page on the Northumbria Police website using crime reference 049411C/22.
