CCTV appeal after jewellery box and cash stolen from County Durham home

Officers are appealing for help to identify two men in connection with a burglary in County Durham during which a jewellery box and cash was stolen.

Durham Constabulary received a report of a burglary at a property on Glenhurst Road, Easington at around 2pm on Friday (February 11).

It is believed the suspects broke into the address and once inside removed a jewellery box and cash before making off on foot.

The force released CCTV images of two men officers would like to speak to and appealed for anyone who recognises them to get in touch.

A spokesperson for Seaham and Easington Police said: "Police are releasing CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with a burglary.

"The incident occurred at an address on Glenhurst Road, Easington at around 2pm on Friday (February 11).

"It is believed the suspects broke into the address and once inside removed a jewellery box and cash before making off on foot.

"Anyone who recognises them is asked to contact PC Price, from Peterlee CID on 101 then dial 202339.

"Please quote incident number 232 of February 11."
