Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman whose hands appeared to be 'tied with rope' was beaten up in the back seat of a car. The disturbing incident took place in Cheetham Hill on Wednesday night and was captured on CCTV.
Police say they are 'concerned for the safety of the woman' and are appealing to anyone who recognises the car, pictured, to get in touch. The attack happened at about 9.55pm on Wednesday, March 8, after a vehicle described as a dark-coloured SUV-type, believed to be a Seat Arona, pulled up at the side of the road on Alderglen Road at the junction of Deerhurst Drive

There were two men in the front of the vehicle and a woman sat in the back. The driver got out the car and walked around to the rear passenger seat, where he opened the door and was seen to assault the woman and hurl abuse at her.
He is described as an Asian man in his 30s, around 5ft 9, with a bald head, skinny build, and wearing a grey tracksuit with a thin black coat. The woman was described as having a blonde messy bun, aged approximately in her 30s, wearing a black fur coat.
It was reported that her hands were tied with a black string or rope. CCTV then showed the vehicle driving off on Alderglen Road towards Cheetham Hill Road.
A GMP spokesperson said: "Police are concerned for the safety of the woman and are looking for any witnesses who may be able to identify the vehicle or the occupants."
