CBBC star Jade Alleyne pregnant with first child as she announces news with boyfriend

CBBC actress Jade Alleyne is expecting her first child.

The 22-year-old, who became a household name after starring in children's comedy show 4 O' Clock Club back in 2015 before quitting six years later, announced the exciting news in an Instagram post on Sunday.

She showed off her growing bump while thanking God and her boyfriend for their baby.

Sharing a lengthy caption, Jade wrote: "!!OH BABY!! This man is my shelter, my rock, my best friend, my confidant, my co-pilot, my greatest supporter and confidence builder, a ray of light in the best times and the times I need it the most, the love of my life and the father of the new generation of family we are building.

"This new phase of life for me has been the deepest, most challenging and most rewarding. I thank God consistently in the moments I draw myself close to Him for the opportunities I have been given to live this life to the fullest, and am so glad I have been bold enough to live all of it. In this season I find myself becoming all of the multi-faceted woman He has made me to be. Not just a successful actor or singer, but a well rounded woman with a fruitful life. I feel fulfilled, grounded and whole.

"So BLESSINGS!!! Praises and thanks to HIM for this beautiful gift. I’m naturally very private but feel extreme joy from being transparent enough to share this news."

She added: "May God watch over our newborn and see us through a healthy delivery. JAH LOVE!!"

Jade first rose to fame as rebellious teen Clem Burton in CBBC show the 4 O'Clock Club.

She showed off her singing talents on the show, with her debut single If You Only Knew being released as part of the programme's soundtrack.

The actress then played the role of Ruby Bisme-Lyons in BBC drama Years and Years before starring in Netflix drama White Lines.

The next year Jade went on to bag her first film role, featuring in Twist, which also starred Lena Headey, Michael Caine, Rafferty Law and Rita Ora.
