Celebrity Big Brother star Danielle Lloyd has shared an emotional update on her battle with skin cancer, revealing the results of recent surgery and how the diagnosis has changed her outlook on life.

The 41-year-old model was diagnosed in February after noticing a suspicious change in one of her moles.

In a candid video shared on Thursday, she revealed she has since undergone surgery and is now focused on healing — both physically and emotionally.

Filming herself en route to a spray tan appointment, the mum-of-five admitted feeling "nervous" but explained why she’s officially saying goodbye to sunbeds.

“I used to be a total sun worshiper, never really thinking about the risk of skin cancer. Sunbeds before holidays? Absolutely!” the Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins star said.

“But now, I’ve decided it’s better to fake the glow because my health and being there for my kids are what truly matter,” she continued. “I’m still waiting on the results from my second operation, but I’m keeping my spirits up and pledging to keep my skin safe from those pesky UV rays in the future!”

The video montage included photos of her post-surgery scars as well as her glowing complexion after opting for a spray tan — a safer alternative she’s now embracing.

The Splash! star first opened up about her diagnosis in February, posting a tearful video to Instagram as she explained how a mole on her leg had changed in appearance and prompted her to seek medical advice.

She also described the heartbreaking moment she sat down to tell her three eldest sons — Archie, 14, George, 13, and Harry, 11 — about her condition. The TV personality shares the boys with her ex-husband, former footballer Jamie O'Hara.

Her two younger children, Ronnie, 7, and Autumn, 3, whom she shares with her current husband Michael O’Neill, haven’t been told, she explained, as they are still too young to understand.

Now focused on recovery and staying healthy for her family, sshe is using her platform to encourage others to pay attention to changes in their skin — and to think twice about UV exposure.

“I told the older three but not the younger two. Ronnie is at an age where he wouldn't really understand, he'd hear that word and think I was going to die,” she told Closer.

“It was difficult telling the older boys, Harry asked me if my hair was going to fall out. It's hard because they're still young, so I don't know if they fully understand - which is a good thing because I don't want to put a strain on them.”

In February, Lloyd revealed her skin cancer diagnosis in a tearful video posted to Instagram, revealing she felt compelled to speak out to help raise awareness.

Fighting back tears in the clip shared to her Stories, the model began: “I don't really know how to say this and I didn't know whether to come on and say this but I feel like I have to raise awareness of this kind of thing happening to other people.

“Today I have been diagnosed with a form of skin cancer.”

She stressed the importance of staying vigilant about changes to your body, especially moles.

“I just want to raise awareness for anyone who thinks they've got something funny on their body, they see a mole growing, which is not normal — please please please go to your doctor because honestly, you just never know,” she continued.”

She admitted to feeling "really shocked" by the diagnosis, but praised the Macmillan nurses for their care and support throughout the process.

This isn't the first health scare the reality TV star has faced in recent years.

In 2023, she was rushed to hospital after experiencing severe bleeding, which led doctors to discover large ovarian cysts. Thankfully, they were found to be non-cancerous after a biopsy.

Later the same year, she also discovered a lump in her breast. After undergoing further tests, she was relieved to be given the all-clear in October when the lump was confirmed to be benign.

Lloyd isn’t the only celebrity raising awareness about the disease, recently Katherine Ryan opened up about her own shock skin cancer battle.
