A gorse fire on the Cavehill was monitored overnight.
Concerns were raised on Monday evening after residents spotted flames and smoke rising from the hills above North Belfast. The fire was first spotted at around 7.45pm on Monday evening.
The fire service confirmed they received "multiple calls from the public" on the matter, but as there was "no risk to life or property", no crews were deployed to the site on Monday night.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the NIFRS said: "NIFRS have received multiple calls from the public to gorse on fire in the Cavehill area from 19.45 hours this evening [Monday].
"Further to assessing the area no fire crews are currently deployed, as there is no risk to life or property. This will be reassessed as required."
Green Party Councillor for the area, Mal O'Hara, shared a photo and message of concern following the incident.
He said: "Not a pretty sight tonight over the city. One of our greatest assets in North Belfast on fire.”
The UUP's North Belfast representative, Julie-Anne Corr-Johnston, also commented on the fire on Monday night.
"Depressing sight watching this North Belfast gem engulfed in flames. Devasting for wildlife, hikers and our fascinating heritage," she said.
"Last month Northern Ireland was ranked as one of the top hiking destinations globally. This isn't to be scoffed at. The impact is far reaching - environmentally and economically."
Earlier on Monday evening, it was reported that a blaze had broken out on Black Mountain in West Belfast.
Two appliances were sent to Black Mountain from 5.50pm and left the scene at 7.30pm. However, the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
