Five children and an adult were rescued from a flat fire in Nottingham. Fire crews from Stockhill, Highfields and Arnold attended the address on Church Street in Old Basford on Tuesday (February 14).
Firefighters were called to the scene shortly after 11.20pm. Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said three casualties were assessed by East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) for smoke inhalation.
They were later discharged on scene, it has been confirmed. Fire crews left the scene after 1am.

A fire investigation has concluded that the blaze was started in the kitchen by cooking oil. No other rooms or property were affected by the incident, the fire service confirmed.
A fire service spokesperson said: "We received a call at 11.23pm on February 14 to a flat fire on Church Street in Old Basford. Crews from Stockhill, Highfields and Arnold attended.
"One adult and five children were led to safety by firefighters. Three causalities were assessed by EMAS for smoke inhalation and discharged on scene.
"Fire crews left the scene after 1am. As a further update a fire investigation has concluded the fire was started in the kitchen by cooking oil and was limited to the kitchen, with no other room or property affected."
