Jack Catterall returns to the boxing ring this weekend in what is being billed as a final eliminator for the WBO super-lightweight title against Arnold Barboza Jr.
Catterall twice knocked Regis Prograis down back in October, cruising to a unanimous decision victory against the former world champion.
It has been a fantastic few months for ‘El Gato’, who is finally closing in on a world title shot. Catterall enacted his revenge on Josh Taylor before the Prograis fight, and promoter Eddie Hearn has confirmed Teofimo Lopez is now in his sights.
Still, Barboza Jr is a formidable opponent. The American has won all of his 30 professional fights to date, 11 of which have come by way of knockout.
