Catherine Zeta-Jones wows on red carpet with son Dylan for Addams Family premiere

Welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones was joined by son Dylan on the red carpet as she made a spectacular appearance at the premiere of her latest project. The 53-year-old actress portrays creepy matriarch Morticia Addams in the series named Wednesday.

It is a role originated by Carolyn Jones in the original Addams Family TV series and by Anjelica Huston in The Addams Family movies. As well as fellow cast members, the actress was joined by her 22-year-old son Dylan at the Hollywood Legion Theatre.

Wearing a stunning full-length white gown with a plunging neckline, she was all smiles while posing with co-stars Gwendoline Christie, Jenna Ortega and Christina Ricci at the event. Catherine and her son are close and on his birthday last August she posted a heart-warming tribute alongside some rarely shared baby snaps. Read more about that here.

Burton makes his television directorial debut in the show which follows Wednesday as a student at the peculiar Nevermore Academy, her attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago - all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships of the strange and diverse student body. Zeta-Jones' role in the Netflix series follows hot on the heels of her appearance in Prodigal Son opposite Michael Sheen.
