Hollywood star Catherine Zeta Jones has told her four million Instagram followers she's "happy to be Welsh" in a glowing tribute to her homeland. The 53-year-old from Swansea posted a reel decorated with Welsh flags and a daffodil to tell her fans what she loves most about the country.
The Chicago star said: "Every time I'm home I always find time to walk along the Welsh coastal path. For me, my beauty spot is Swansea and Mumbles. What's yours? It's all so beautiful, I'm so happy to be Welsh."
Alongside the post, which was uploaded on Friday, she wrote: " Wales is the only country in the world with a designated walking path along the coast of the entire country. It’s just gorgeous, rare, precious and well… bloody gorgeous."

Another wrote: "Try Abermawr up to Strumble Head (west Wales) it’s beautiful. Love where you live, we’re 20 mins away." A third fan commented: "Ynys Môn coastal path for me."
The star has previously stated she enjoys visiting Wales. In 2019 she revealed how her children have frequented their roots in Swansea all their lives. While receiving Freedom of the City at Swansea Guildhall, she said: "My children have been coming back to Swansea all their life. They'd be up at the crack of dawn down the beach, come rain or shine, digging and making castles so it was important for me that they have roots and know where they come from. It's very grounding for the kids and they often love coming here and they come back every year to Wales."
