Catherine Zeta-Jones has praised the new Princess of Wales after her first visit to Wales this week. The Hollywood A-lister, who was born in Swansea, posted on Instagram after Kate and William, Prince of Wales, paid their first visit to Wales on Tuesday September 26 since taking up their new roles after the Queen's death.
The royal couple greeted well-wishers in Swansea and Anglesey on a one-day trip which included visits to a food bank and an RNLI base. Following the visit Zeta-Jones, 52, gushed about the royals on social media, saying on Instagram that she "loves" the new Princess of Wales and sharing a picture of Kate greeting a child in traditional Welsh dress.

Fans reacted well to the star's support for the royals, calling the photo "heartwarming" while another said: "Such a sweet picture of the new Princess of Wales visiting your beloved home country: I’ve always found the Welsh traditional costume truly lovely, Catherine."
Others said the photo was "adorable" while another added: "So very proud of our new Princess of Wales [and] such a gorgeous photo." Kate and William's trip followed the first visit of King Charles III to Wales on Friday September 16 since taking the throne, a day which saw thousands of people line the streets of Cardiff. The star, who along with her husband Michael Douglas, celebrated her birthday this week, will soon be seen in two new TV show, as Morticia Addams in Netflix's Wednesday and she's also in a new TV show based on the National Treasure feature films, which will be out on Disney+ later this year.
