Catherine Tyldesley admits she loves skinny dipping because she feels 'so free'

Catherine Tyldesley has admitted that she loves skinny dipping because it makes her feel 'so free'.

The 37-year-old former Coronation Street star, who starred on the ITV show until 2018, recently reflected upon stripping off for a swim while it was quiet.

The star opened up about her favourite past time when speaking to Russell Kane on his podcast Boys Don't Cry.

While discussing the topic of recklessness, Catherine said on the show: “I went skinny dipping not that long ago but it was dead at the time, it was really, really quiet."

“There’s nothing like skinny dipping, it’s great. You feel so free. Free floating mum boobs, all day.”

While Catherine would be open to more skinny dipping had she not been so recognisable by the public, she also hadn't ruled out more of the activity in the future.

When asked if she would do it again she said: “I think I would. It’s quite a natural thing. It’s lovely.”

Catherine, who has been married to Tom Pitfield since 2016, was chatting to Russell and the musician Jelani about whether men are more reckless than women in the podcast.

The trio touched upon all sorts of topics including the idea of running naked through a field.

Elsewhere in their discussion, Russell asked Catherine about whether she would have a holiday fling without using contraception.

The actress replied: “If you’d have asked the younger me, I’m a completely different person to what I was when I was, like, at drama school. Those were very open times.”

Catherine shot to fame when she appeared as Eva Price on the Corrie cobbles.

One year after departing the show, she starred on Strictly Come Dancing.

Catherine's recent interview with Russell came just a few months after the Corrie star teased that she would be open to returning to the soap 'if the opportunity came up'.

In December, the actress told Steph McGovern that she is currently happy pursuing different projects and keeping herself busy at work, but would not rule out making a comeback to the ITV show.
