"Rise" is the theme of Mango Art Festival 2023, which will kick off tomorrow at 6pm and run daily from 11am to 9pm until Sunday, at River City Bangkok, Charoen Krung 24.

Held to celebrate diversity, new beginnings and discoveries through art, the third edition of the lifestyle art festival is dedicated to spotlighting rising-star artists and designers by providing them with the creative space they need to showcase their talent to the public.

As in previous years, art lovers will have the opportunity to engage with well-known artists, local and international art galleries, and product designers and also connect with art collectors.

The festival will gather 21 galleries from Thailand and abroad, 75 independent artists, 20 product design brands, 19 art and craft brands, and 16 live performances. Their works are categorised into Art, Design and Performance & Music and are presented in four zones -- Galleries, Independent Artists, Product Design and Art & Craft -- with a dedicated area for performance and music.

Business matching will remain a hallmark of the festival this year as it aims to facilitate fruitful partnerships between artists and galleries.

Activities include special exhibitions such as "Holy Designer" by Sirawit Chatu, "Flowers Of The 12 Zodiac" by Wannita Tankeng, "Rise Of Pride" by Riety, and "Manzood"; as well as a debate on "Creative Economy" by politicians from many political parties on Saturday at 3pm.

Other highlights will be afternoon talks by experts in the art and lifestyle industry. Topics include Reimagining Waste: The Artistic Path To A Greener Future by Thanaboon Somboon on Wednesday; Grazing Bangkok's Art Buffet by Bruce Scott on Thursday; What The Rise Of Urban Art Means For Investors by Piriya Vachajitpan on Friday; and Sensing Bangkok: Feeling The City Through The Senses by Philip Cornwel Smith on Sunday.

There is no admission fee. Visit mangoartfestival.com or facebook.com/MangoArtFestival.
