Catalans lose duo for Leeds trip as Huddersfield forward Kenny Edwards sent to tribunal

Catalans Dragons will be without Sam Kasiano and Gil Dudson for next Friday’s trip to Leeds Rhinos after they received one-match penalty notices.

Both players were charged with making dangerous contact during Catalans’ win over Huddersfield Giants on Thursday night.

Dudson’s challenge was deemed to be a grade A offence and Kasiano’s grade B yet they have been given the same punishment, ruling them out of the Dragons’ next game at Headingley.

The Super League leaders will travel to West Yorkshire protecting an impressive 90.91 per cent record over the first 11 games of the season.

Leeds have another game to negotiate before taking on Steve McNamara’s in-form side, with Warrington Wolves up next at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Monday night.

Rhinos captain Luke Gale will be available to face Catalans after completing a two-match ban.

Meanwhile, Huddersfield back-rower Kenny Edwards has been referred to a tribunal after being charged with grade F other contrary behaviour during the same game.

Leigh forward James Bell has been handed a one-match penalty notice for grade B dangerous contact, ruling him out of the Centurions' next game against Hull FC next Sunday.
