A pregnant cat decided to give birth to her litter of kittens while sitting on her owner's lap.
Ellen Fransen came home after visiting a friend only to discover Asrael, three, had started to go into labour.
The moggy had already given birth to one kitten before deciding to relocate and get comfortable on owner Ellen's lap for the rest of the delivery.
She was initially unsettled by the thought of her cat giving birth on her lap, but when the teen tried to move Asrael onto some towels, she would wail at her until letting her back on her lap.
After two worry-filled hours, all five kittens were born – they’re doing well and still with mother Asrael.
The 18-year-old from Andijk, Netherlands decided to document the unique experience before uploading it to TikTok, where the video has now over 4.9 million views.
The responses to her video have been warm and most people thought the animal must trust and love her if it chose to give birth on her lap
Ellen , said: “Most reactions have been positive, some were negative, saying it’s not real or disgusting but I don’t really care. I think it’s an honour!”

Owner Yulia Minina, from Russia, shared pictures of her gentle giant with fellow cat lovers on Instagram.
In a recent video, she showed how Kefir gets along with her two-year-old daughter Anechka, who is seen cutting snacks for the enormous pet.
She said: "Sweet couple, Kefir and Anechka. These two are never bored."
The hungry moggy stood alongside her daughter in the kitchen, patiently waiting for his little master to feed him the food.
Yulia explained how Kefir and Anechka are an inseparable pair who love spending their time together in the house.
When her daughter is watching cartoons on the sofa, Kefir stays close to her and lies on the top of the couch.
The video melted hearts with many viewers commenting on the feline's special relationship with people.
One person commented "Kefir as tall as Anechka. You can tell that they are a couple" while another said "perfect friendship, how adorable!"
