Casualty airs tense scenes as characters come to blows after near-fatal shooting

The Casualty cast are still feeling the effects of Teddy being shot and some of his colleagues are refusing to let bygones be bygones.

Last week, paramedics Teddy and Sah were put in grave danger after arriving at a local shop after the business owner whacked a teenager and also shot another.

The pair were called out to an assault after Krish found himself being intimidated by a group of teenagers with Jacob ignoring his plea for help.

However, things took a drastic turn when the shopkeeper pulled a gun out, fatally shooting one teen and injuring another by beating him.

But a week on, it seems Iain is still holding a grudge against his new colleague who could have been responsible for the death of Teddy.

Teddy had jumped in the way of a bullet aimed at Sah after Krish became alarmed when Jacob made a sudden appearance.

In this week's episode, Paige was seen treating Teddy, despite him informing her other doctors could help him, when Sah made a brief appearance.

She wasn't impressed by the fact Jacob hadn't been to visit the young medic.

However, a review into the near-fatal incident cleared Jacob to carry on working as a paramedic, leaving Iain far from impressed by the decision.

As Jacob returned to service, Iain asked: "How did your review go?"

"Well they said I was fine to continue working," Jacob responded to an unimpressed Iain before adding: "It was an accident," as he walked off.

"Look, I didn't want anyone to get shot and that's what I was trying to stop and I stand by that," he explained.

Jacob left a job he had been tasked with after hearing that Krish's shop was the location of an attack on the medics' radio, leaving Iain filled with rage – with many blaming him for Teddy being shot.

Despite having not visited Teddy earlier in the episode, Jacob eventually plucked up the courage to visit his pal, arriving with a gift.

"Really, a fruit bowl?" asked Teddy before Jacob revealed the alternative gifts he could have received.

Jacob explained: "I'm sorry, for getting you into this mess, I thought I could control the situation but I couldn't.

"I rushed in and made it worse," before Teddy joked that the situation was "just a bit" worse", as Jacob continued: "Look I put you in the sight of danger because I figured I knew better than everyone, you know sometimes people can't see when they're being idiots."

Meanwhile, it appears that romance could be on the cards for Paige and Teddy, months after she split from fellow doctor, Rash.
