A new update for the Castlevania Dominus Collection this October 2024 adds some new stuff while also fixing a variety of bugs that players have been experiencing.
The full patch notes for this were shared on the official Konami website and include new art from Order of Ecclesia being added to the Gallery Mode. The developers also fixed a bug in Dawn of Sorrow that would make the bosses in Julius mode have incorrect behavior.
New October 2024 Update
Some of the original minor glitches that the community used to create exploits in Portrait of Ruin were reproduced as they are features and not bugs.
In the game's Steam version, players can now choose between Window Mode and Full Screen Mode directly from the Pause Menu, according to Nintendo Life.
Castlevania Dominus Collection includes five games from the highly popular franchise. The games package was originally revealed during a Nintendo Direct and it later shadow-dropped to offer three Castlevania games from the Nintendo DS era into modern platforms.
This particular game collection is part of developer Konami's efforts to bring classic Castlevania games to current platforms. The October 2024 update is the first patch for the Castlevania Dominus Collection.
The additions and changes in the latest update enhance various titles that players see as the best across all titles in the series. Many people have been asking for a long time for remakes of the original Nintendo DS Castlevania games, Game Rant said.
Castlevania Dominus Collection
Many fans were surprised with one part of the collection. This is that Konami decided to release a full remake of Haunted Castle. This is a nearly forgotten part of the Castlevania franchise. But many believe that Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is the best entry.
While it is available to play in the Castlevania Requiem collection, this is only for the PlayStation 4 console. Despite the release of the Castlevania Dominus Collection, some people were hoping that the former would be included in the latest package.
Castlevania Dominus Collection also introduced a lot of quality-of-life features that make the gaming experience even better. Konami gave players soundtracks and let them play different versions of the games from various regions.
There is also a new rewind function that will let you go back roughly half a minute at any point in the game and you can also save anytime you want.
All of these new additions and improved mechanics make the collection easier to access for a lot of people, according to RPGFan.
