A castle with connections to Mary Queen of Scots has gone on the market for £625,000.
Powrie Castle, which has been converted into a home, has gone on sale for less than the average semi -detached house in London.
It even has a monument on its ground which dates back as the 16th century.
Cheaper than lots of homes in London, the property is on sale at offers over £625,000.
The Daily Record reports it has lawns, turrets, leaded glass windows with shutters, and finely crafted stonework to make a striking first impression.
This is in addition to the monument called "The Keep" which can be found its sculpted gardens.
The rare property which can be traced back more than 850 years and is available from estate agents Thorntons.
Property manager David Fletcher said: "Powrie Castle is a rare opportunity to own a beautifully renovated castle, with links to some of Scotland's noted royal figures and significant historic events."
It is expected to attract international interest thanks to its remarkably preserved Medieval and Renaissance features.
The castle has an impressive 325sqft drawing room, featuring a high vaulted ceiling and arranged around an imposing stone hearth.
It also features a formal dining room with flagstone flooring, a inglenook fireplace and an oak beamed ceiling.
Just three miles from Dundee, its origins can be traced from 1172, when King William the Lion gifted the land to Robert Ogilvie, the Earl of Angus.
The estate remained with that family until acquired by Thomas Fotheringham in 1412.
It was passed down the family and at one point, in 1547, it was used even as a base for attacks during a siege before later being restored by an heir.
Letters show the family's correspondence with key royal figures including Mary Queen of Scots.
David said: "Despite its grand connections, it is a remarkably comfortable and enchanting home that offers great flexibility.
"The Tower and Turret rooms could be converted into two further bedrooms, which would be especially suitable for children, and its large formal dining and drawing rooms are the perfect spaces for entertaining.
"Just three miles to Dundee, which has excellent road, rail and air links, and close to world-classing golfing at St Andrews and Carnoustie, Powrie Castle is sure to attract interest from a wide range of buyers."
Last month The Mirror reported that a Grade II listed Georgian house was on the market with its own 118-year-old castle built onto the side.
The unique and detached six-bed property in Tenterden, Kent, is on the market for £1.59million, so you'll have to part with some considerable cash to call it your home.
The tower itself holds a laundry room on the ground floor, along with a cosy bedroom on each of the first and second floors.
The house also boasts en-suite bathrooms and period fireplaces, a kitchen with a gas fired Aga and French doors leading onto a decked balcony.
It also has a double drawing and sitting room with fitted bookcases, open fireplaces and garden views.
