Castle Douglas Nursery youngsters put new life into library flower beds

Youngsters from Castle Douglas Nursery have been involved in a project to put new life into flower beds at the town’s library.

They’ve worked with staff from the council’s grounds department to plant some beautiful flowers.

And they’ll continue to work together to look after the plants.

After a social media post asking for help to source a plaque to go in the flower bed, the nursery was delighted when local businessman Brian Wilson of BW Cutlery Creations generously offered to make one free of charge.

The staff and children from the nursery love being involved in community projects and would like to express their thanks to Stephen Martin and James McCrossan from the grounds department for working alongside them to make this one a success.
