Castle Douglas High School students have won plaudits for achieving an excellent set of results in their SQA exams – from the man at the top.
Head teacher James Smith went on record to express his pride in how pupils handled learning during and after the pandemic ahead of the first set exams for three years.
He said: “Congratulations to all young people from Castle Douglas High School who received their SQA exam results on August 9.
“Hard work, determination and resilience saw a large number of our learners achieve the highest possible grades in all of their subjects.
“Results across all subject areas at Castle Douglas High School were strong and maintain the high expectations and high aspirations of our pupils, parents, and teachers. Well done to all senior learners on this outstanding performance and for providing such an inspiration to our younger learners who will hope to follow in your footsteps.”
