Castle Douglas will be going back in time when its Civic Week celebrations kick off on Saturday.
There will be a Jurassic takeover for CD Civic Fest, which takes place at Market Hill, with a dinosaur theme.
A fun day for the whole family is in store featuring face painting, storytelling, crazy golf, a pottery workshop, fairground attractions and much, much more.
There will also be a fancy dress competition and appearances from T-Rex Zeus and Richie Raptor plus music, food and drink.
The action starts at 1.30pm and continues until 10.30pm.
Saturday will also see the Civic Cup played at Castle Douglas Golf Club while, on Sunday, there is a special screening of The Croods at The Fullarton. It starts at 2.30pm with people encouraged to wear fancy dress.
On Monday there is a walking treasure hunt from 6pm and bingo at 8pm, both in the town hall.
Tuesday sees the senior fun run begin at Lochside Park at 7pm, with foraging at Taliesin wood between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.
There is a bowling competition on Wednesday along with five-a-side football for adults at Birkland Park from 7pm.
Thursday includes a tennis and racketball taster at Stewartry Community Sports Club in the morning, a quiz at the parish church at 7pm and a junior fun run in Lochside park at 6.30pm.
On Friday there is a pet show at Market Hill at 6pm with a dog display at 6.30pm.
And rounding things off will be kids five-a-side football at Birkland Park on Saturday.
Throughout the week there will be a hidden article competition along King Street and also a car treasure hunt with residents encouraged to make a tattie boggle and decorate their gardens for the occasion.
