A historic retail site in Belfast city centre is preparing to welcome a new tenant next month after undergoing a major transformation.
The Castle Buildings on Castle Place is an iconic landmark in the city centre and is one of the few sites still reflective of the Victorian era with its distinctive green tiling.
The listed building, which was once a Mothercare store, is set to welcome retail giant Ann Summers to its ground-floor retail space that has been revamped as part of the building's conversion to a luxury accommodation site.

Banbridge-based construction company DCM Contracts, who were in charge of the project were "delighted" to take the lead on the transformation back in 2021, converting the upper floors into luxury apartments.
Taking to social media after completion, DCM said: "The Beautiful Castle Place Building has been transformed into 9 Luxury Apartments and Commercial Ground Floor space.
"It was a fantastic project to be the main contractor on, thanks as always to all the great subcontractors, suppliers and the design team."
Signage has gone up in the commercial unit revealing that the high-street lingerie brand would be taking over the space.
A spokesperson for Ann Summers confirmed to Belfast Live that their current city centre location on Rosemary Street would be closing on April 15 with the new site expected to open on April 20, subject to change.
They continued: "The new shop fit design will be elevated to encompass more brand personality through improved window displays, illuminated signage and imagery throughout the sales floor and improved fitting room spec for a great customer experience."
