Casemiro arrived at Manchester United on Monday afternoon ahead of the official unveiling of his transfer from Real Madrid.
A £70million deal has been agreed for the 30-year-old midfielder to move to Old Trafford after he accepted a switch to Erik ten Hag’s ailing side.
It has been a busy day for Casemiro after he held a press conference in the Spanish capital in the morning, at one point wiping tears from his eyes in an emotional farewell to Madrid.
The Brazilian then hopped on a flight to Manchester, before heading into Old Trafford just over three hours before the derby with Liverpool.

Casemiro will watch the Premier League game from the stands after admitting his disappointment at not being able to play against the Reds.
United are expected to announce the £70m signing imminently.
“If it were up to me, I would play against Liverpool tonight,” he told reporters earlier on Monday. “I can't wait.”
