Casemiro and Varane return as Manchester United fans choose their line-up vs Sevilla

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has four key absences to deal with on Thursday night as the Reds return to Europa League action vs Sevilla.

Arguably the biggest loss for the Reds is Marcus Rashford who is forced to miss this game due to a groin injury picked up in the victory over Everton. The England international has scored 28 goals so far this season, comfortably becoming the club's main goalscoring threat.

Elsewhere, midweek has come slightly too early for Luke Shaw, while Scott McTominay and Alejandro Garnacho are also absent through injury. With key decisions needing to be made, MEN Sport's United readers have been picking their preferred teams to face Sevilla at Old Trafford, and this was the most popular XI:

Goalkeeper - David de Gea

Despite his critics, De Gea remains United's first-choice goalkeeper by some distance. Tom Heaton is currently out with an injury meaning Jack Butland is the Reds' only alternative in the squad.

Defenders - Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia

Just the one change to the back line that beat the Toffees. Captain Harry Maguire drops out of the team to be replaced by Varane.

The France international was rested at the weekend with this game in mind so it seems highly likely that he will return to the starting XI. Elsewhere, Malacia continues to fill in for the injured Shaw.

Midfielders - Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes, Marcel Sabitzer

Following his suspension, Casemiro returns to the starting line-up in place of the injured McTominay. Despite Fernandes' experience of playing on the wing this campaign, United fans have chosen to make this the only change to the line-up from Saturday.

Forwards - Antony, Anthony Martial, Jadon Sancho

Rashford is sidelined for this game so Martial will be looking to step up to the plate for United. Thursday is a big game for the Frenchman as he aims to show why he is still an asset to this team. Antony and Sancho keep their places in the attack.
