It was a mixed week for Tottenham Hotspur's loan army with one young player in particular enjoying a moment to remember.
It was another week packed with minutes for Tottenham Hotspur's loan players as they took to football pitches across the continent. Spurs have 11 players out on loan at clubs in England, Scotland, France, Spain and Sweden, all looking to make the coaching staff at Tottenham, not least Antonio Conte, sit up and take notice.
Here's how the big group of Spurs loanees get on over the past week.

Cameron Carter-Vickers (Celtic)
There's only one place to start this week and that's with Cameron Carter-Vickers after the 24-year-old earned himself legendary status at Celtic by scoring the winning goal in the Old Firm Derby on Sunday. The Spurs defender lashed home a low shot after a free-kick into the box fell his way, and his 42nd minute strike proved to be the winner in a derby which helped Celtic move six points clear of Rangers in the title chase.
Carter-Vickers was named man of the match and was superb in his defensive work, winning eight of his 10 duels, plus nine clearances and three interceptions in a commanding display.
"Cameron Carter-Vickers and Carl Starfelt, I made it crystal clear before the game at Ibrox that those two were going to have to be outstanding for Celtic to win," former Hoops star Chris Sutton wrote in his Daily Record column. "Both players were every bit as good as they needed to be. In fact, they were even better with one of them coming up with a winning goal.
"Carter-Vickers and Starfelt were asked time and time again to defend their box. To cope with set plays, to match the Rangers strength in those situations. Time and again they came up with the answers. Time and again they put a head on things. They got a block in. They hustled and harried a striker."
Carter-Vickers' loan spell has been a huge success and Celtic are expected to take up the option to buy him, which football.london understands is around £6million up front with potential add-ons that could make it £10million in all eventually. The centre-back is also believed to be interesting a number of Premier League clubs.
The 24-year-old has four goals and one assist from his 37 games in all competitions for Celtic so far in this big season in his career.
Bryan Gil (Valencia)
Gil picked up an injury in Valencia's 0-0 home draw at Cadiz on Sunday and had to leave the action after 78 minutes. The 21-year-old Spurs winger needed to be helped from the pitch by a couple of Valencia staff after the injury.
Spanish radio station RadioEsport Valencia claimed on Monday that Gil underwent some low intensity work in the gym and had discomfort in his lower back and part of his hip and did not train with his team-mates.
The La Liga club were awaiting the results of test on the injury for a player who has quickly become a key part of their team. Gil has made 11 appearances for the Spanish side, registering one assist since his switch from Tottenham.
Tanguy Ndombele (Lyon)
Ndombele grabbed an assist for Lyon in their 3-2 home win against Angers in Ligue 1 on Sunday. The Frenchman played 78 minutes and scooped a quick through ball into the feet of Moussa Dembele to score the opening goal 26 minutes into the game.
Ndombele will be back in the UK this week as Lyon take on West Ham in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final at the London Stadium on Thursday evening before returning to France for a trip to Strasbourg on Sunday evening in Ligue 1.
Giovani Lo Celso (Villarreal)
Lo Celso got just 28 minutes from the bench on Saturday as Villarreal slipped to a 2-0 defeat in La Liga at Levante.
The Spanish side could well have had one eye on the Champions League as they host Bayern Munich in the first leg of their quarter-final on Wednesday evening.
Villarreal then welcome Athletic Bilbao on Saturday evening in La Liga. Lo Celso has made 10 appearances for Unai Emery's team since his deadline day switch from Tottenham.
Pape Matar Sarr (Metz)
Sarr broke his start-sub-start-sub pattern at the weekend, but not in the way he would have wanted as he came off the bench for Metz on Sunday for the second game in a row, for 22 minutes in the 2-1 home defeat to Monaco.
Metz sit second from bottom in Ligue 1 in 19th and are four points adrift of 18th-placed St Etienne, who lie in the relegation play-off spot, while Lorient and Clermont are both a further point ahead.
The 19-year-old did enjoy international joy though, having come off the bench for six minutes of Senegal's World Cup qualification match against Egypt in the week with his country earning their place after a dramatic penalty shoot-out.
The teenager has now played 26 times for Metz this season as he aims to show Tottenham what he's about when he returns to N17 in the summer.
Troy Parrott (MK Dons)
Troy Parrott returned to MK Dons off the back of his spectacular winning goal for the Republic of Ireland in their friendly against Lithuania. The 20-year-old was back to take up a spot on the right as the League One side overcame Crewe 2-0 at home on Saturday.
There was praise for Parrott as The MK Citizen handed him a seven in their player ratings and stated: "A hard-fought performance with little reward and precious few sights of goal. Made some key midfield tackles and interceptions though, with some good touches too."
Parrott has now played 39 times this season and scored six goals and provided six assists in a good lean spell in Milton Keynes.
Kion Etete (Cheltenham Town)
Etete again missed out for Cheltenham Town at the weekend as they drew 4-4 at Accrington.
The 20-year-old has been struggling with ankle injury but returned last week for 13 minutes from the bench in a 4-1 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday. However, he was out of action at the weekend and Robins boss Michael Duff was not too keen to talk about a player he is struggling to get on the pitch at the moment.
"He didn’t train on Thursday or Friday. It’s frustrating, but without being disrespectful to Kion, I’d rather talk about the players who were here at the minute because they are giving everything until the 96th or 97th minute, again. He is a good player, but at the minute he isn’t available to us," he was reported as saying by Gloucestershire Live.
Jack Clarke (Sunderland)
Clarke played the full 90 minutes in Sunderland's 1-0 home win against Gillingham on Saturday His performance on the left wing earned him a six in the Chronicle Live player ratings with the succinct review: "Did OK on the left, but no more."
The 21-year-old has now played 12 matches for the sixth-placed League One side, scoring once and providing one assist, as they look to find a route back to the Championship.
Nile John (Charlton Athletic)
John's loan move to Charlton Athletic continues to come without a minute of first team football after he missed out again on the matchday squad in their 2-1 defeat at home to Lincoln City.
The 19-year-old has been an unused substitute on four occasions for Charlton and left out of the squad altogether in nine other League One matches. Addicks boss Johnnie Jackson last month explained John and Chelsea loanee Juan Castillo's lack of game time.
"I’ve got players in those positions who, at the moment, they’re in front of them," said the former Spurs man, as reported by South London Press. "I’m judging every day on what I see in training. There’s been opportunities. Nile has been unlucky because he’s not had a lot of opportunities.
"Juan has had a couple of opportunities that he didn’t really take. Nile can count himself unlucky that he’s not had opportunities. I have been looking to try to get him on the pitch at certain times but the nature of the games and state of play, having to make early substitutions in certain games has stopped me being able to do that."
Alfie Whiteman (Degerfors)
The 23-year-old goalkeeper began the Swedish Allsvenskan season with a 3-1 defeat on Monday for Degerfors away at Djurgarden.
Whiteman did his part in keeping Degerfors in the Swedish top flight last season and will be hoping to impress again during this campaign. Spurs do also have the option to recall him as part of the loan agreement if they were to need him back.
Kacper Kurylowicz (Potters Bar Town)
The goalkeeper is out on loan at non-league side Potters Bar Town, who play in the Isthmian Premier League, while being able to train with and play for Spurs' U23s when required.
Kurylowicz was not in the squad though for Town's 1-0 win at Margate on Saturday.
