Cameron Carter-Vickers will play for Celtic against Motherwell this weekend.
Speculation over a possible injury was rebuffed by Ange Postecoglou who insisted the defender is fit to feature in the league clash one week out from the Scottish Cup semi-final.
Carter-Vickers was not involved for Celtic against Kilmarnock last weekend with Postecoglou leaving the centre-back out due to the artificial surface.
Reports this week suggested Carter-Vickers could require surgery on an ongoing knee injury issue, but Posteocoglou refused to be drawn on the mater.
“Cameron has trained all week and will play tomorrow," said the Celtic boss.
"The only reason he didn’t play last week was the surface and I mentioned that before the game, but he has trained all week and is ready to go.
“Nothing else changes, all the other lads are closer and in training but won’t make this weekend.
“If he gets through the game tomorrow then he will play next week, so that’s how it is at the minute.
“I haven’t really thought much about the game next week, first we will see if get through tomorrow unscathed then we will work through the week and start to look at who’s available for the game then, but right now we are just focused on having a strong out that can win the game tomorrow.”
Pressed on whether Carter-Vickers will feature at Hampden against Rangers in the Scottish Cup semi-final, Postecoglou added: "I can't predict the future. If he gets through tomorrow, he'll play next week."
