She’s officially taken up residence at 10 Downing Street and last night Carrie Symonds encouraged politicians to ‘make the right decisions’ about the environment at her first speech as ‘First Girlfriend’.
To complement the speech, Symonds donned a £225 floral midi dress by eco-friendly designer Justine Tabak.
Attending Birdfair, an environmental awareness conference in Rutland, the 31-year-old paired her dress with a red handbag and a pair of green wellies.
The sustainable Justine Tabak ‘Cotton Riding House’ dress is made from a biodegradable natural fabric that doesn’t contain microplastics.
The dress was designed in collaboration with Liberty of London and Better Cotton Initiative, a movement Tabak says is “signing up to better, cleaner and environmentally friendly cotton as well as helping workers in that industry.”
The Riding House dress is described as a ‘nod to the 70’s’, has pockets ‘deep enough for your mobile’ and comes in the ditsy floral print as seen on Symonds and also a denim option for those who are ‘print shy’.
The Riding House dress is available to pre-order from Justine Tabak now and comes in sizes extra small to large.
This is Symonds' second public appearance since her partner, Boris Johnson, became Prime Minister of the UK last month and it seems she has a liking for floral midi dresses.
For her first appearance at No. 10, Symonds wore a £120 pink and red floral Ghost dress which subsequently sold out online.
