Caroline Flack tributes pour in from her celeb pals on anniversary of her death

Caroline Flack has been remembered in emotional tributes from her celebrity pals on the second anniversary of her death.

The popular Love Island presenter sadly died at the age of 40 in 2020, and a coroner ruled the TV star had taken her life because she knew she was facing prosecution over an incident with boyfriend Lewis Burton.

Two years have passed since Caroline died, and her close friends took to social media to honour their memories of the TV presenter.

Her former Xtra Factor co-host Olly Murs shared a picture of him and Caroline cuddling, as he told his Instagram followers it was his most treasured picture of the two of them together.

“My favourite photo of us. The hug the smile the laughs I miss it all caz! 2 years ago we lost ya and it hurts everyday,” Olly wrote.

Laura Whitmore shared a video of her and Caroline talking on the Love Island spin-off show Aftersun, showing them cracking up as they discussed a potential dating show idea called Cougar Mountain.

“This is how I like to think of Flack. Happy and not taking herself too seriously. We hung out a lot that year and I look back at it with such fun memories,” Laura wrote.

“This day is hard and a reminder that no one knows anyone else’s demons but today I like to think of all the good memories too. Cougar Mountain what a show that would have been,” she quipped.

Keith Lemon, aka Leigh Francis, also posted a video of him and Caroline, as they sang along to the Scooby Doo theme tune.

Iain Sterling, who narrated Love Island, shared a behind-the-scenes snap of him and Caroline doing promo for the ITV2 dating show.

“2 years ago today. Miss you Caz x,” he captioned the photo, showing the petite star grabbing Iain’s ears as he pulls a funny face.

Former Love Island contestant Olivia Bowen shared a selfie of her and Caroline, as she wrote atop the picture: “Thinking of you.”

Emily Atack also took to her Instagram Stories to post a tribute to her friend, posting a black-and-white picture of her and Caroline huddled together.

“2 years. Beautiful Caroline,” she wrote atop the snap, along with a love heart emoji.

The official Twitter and Instagram accounts of Love Island also shared a touching tribute to the beloved host, posting a picture of Caroline from her hosting days on the ITV2 show.

"Caroline, forever in out hearts," the caption read.
