Carol Vorderman spends time in 'dream home' with celebrity friend

Countdown whizz Carol Vorderman has treated fans to a glimpse inside her dream home as she enjoys some time off. 61-year-old Carol often keeps her dedicated fans and 226,000 followers updated on all aspects of her life on Instagram, often sharing selfies, 'van life' updates, and stunning snaps of scenic Wales.

Last week, Clifton resident Carol excited fans at home when she made her Celebrity Gogglebox debut alongside broadcaster Gyles Brandreth. After her stint as an armchair critic on Friday night (June 24), Carol is enjoying some time off in a luxury pad by the Welsh coast, which she has described as 'heaven'.

She wrote on Instagram: "So I've found my dream home....honestly the most beautiful house I've ever stayed in, and I've stayed in some stunners. Right on the water with a two mile clear swimming beach....crabs, shellfish, bigger fish, mini sharks (well they looked like that to me)."

Carol has been sharing the home with a celebrity friend, who came to visit her with his partner, Arran, to soak up the beauty of the Welsh coast. The Cambridge graduate wrote: "@owainwynevans and @arranjrees came for a couple of days....obviously we had a little mince on the paddleboards. The view from my bedroom window....no filter....heaven... Sleeps 15...huge uber modern gorgeous house.

And it seems that Owain enjoyed visiting his friend, Carol. Commenting on his friend Carol's post, he wrote: "Thank you having us mein CYNTAF dahling. Such a glorious holidayetté! Xxxx"

Last week, Carol made a rare political statement in which she launched a scathing attack on the Prime Minister following this week's by-election losses in Wakefield and the constituency of Tiverton and Honiton. Carol called for Boris Johnson to resign in the wake of Oliver Dowden's resignation as the co-chair of the Conservative Party.

Carol tweeted: "I'm not a politically motivated woman, never have been. I've never belonged to a political party.

"I worked with David Blunkett (Labour) on the world's first online grooming law and with a previous Tory gov on Mathematics policy in schools. Both for the cause, not the politics."

The former Countdown star then told fans of her roots, and how she knows the difference between poverty and wealth. She added: "As a free school meals kid from a single parent family, I've lived both real poverty & wealth and seen the inner workings of government at close hand.

"As a mild non-political person never have I been more actively disgusted by a prime minister than this one. JUST GO NOW BORIS."
