Carol Vorderman has shared details of the "essential" supplement that she takes in a bid to keep as 'biologically young' as possible, with her teasing that she is "ageing well."
The presenter, 61, took to Instagram yesterday afternoon to promote spermidine - which is an organic compound that's believed to have first been identified in semen.
It is understood to have since been found in other living tissue and there are said to be high levels of spermidine in foods like matured cheeses, peas and certain mushrooms.
The compound is available in supplement form, with Carol telling her followers on the social media platform that she has been taking a capsule form of spermidine for a year.
Carol said she discovered Primeadine - a spermidine supplement that's produced by the company Oxford Healthspan - whilst looking into ways to lower her biological age.
"I've done all sorts of different things [...] but all based on science," she said in a video yesterday, which saw her offer her followers a 10% discount with the promo code CAROL.
The presenter said that the tablets help with autophagy, which is the natural process of the body removing damaged or unnecessary cells in order to regenerate healthier ones.

She said that the video was a response to people wanting recommendations, with her saying: "This is a key essential." Carol discussed it more in the accompanying caption.
"I take other supplements but they perform different tasks. This one I think is particularly important for those of us at an age where cellular renewal needs a little help," she said.
She accompanied the affiliate post with hashtags including #agingwell and #smartaging. It has amassed thousands of likes and prompted compliments from her followers.
After receiving compliments on her appearance, Carol added in the comments section: "Good diet and plenty of fresh air and exercise [are] also important and amazing".
According to the website for Oxford Healthspan, the spermidine supplement promoted by Carol has been extracted from concentrated wheat germ.
The benefits of spermidine are improved cellular renewal, strengthened nails and improved hair growth, according to the company, which is based within the UK.
