Carol Vorderman has issued a 240-word-long message about the newly crowned King Chares III as she declared herself his 'humble servant'. The former Countdown host made the gushing tribute on social media as the world watches the former Prince of Wales take on his new duties following his beloved mother's death.
Queen Elizabeth II died last Thursday, September 8, at Balmoral. Buckingham Palace announced the monarch's passing at around 6.30pm, saying she had died 'peacefully' that afternoon, aged 96, at her Scottish Highlands home.
Following the monarch's death, Charles automatically ascended the throne. The 73-year-old was then formally proclaimed King at an Accession Council held at St James’s Palace in London on Saturday, September 10.

Carol, like much of the country and the world, has been following events, including King Charles' public duties since taking over as monarch as well as the Queen's final journey from Scotland to London where on Wednesday she left Buckingham Palace for the last time to lie in state at Westminster Hall.
And having met the new King through her continuous work on the Pride of Britain Awards, Carol says the King does much work behind the scenes that most are unaware of and that she believes he will make a 'great king'
The awards honour British people who have acted bravely or extraordinarily in challenging situations and have been presented by Carol Vorderman since 1999. Taking to Instagram to share pictures of herself Charles, she spoke highly of our new King.
Taking to Instagram, the TV star shared pictures of herself with Charles before typing a gushing message. "Long Live The King. I wish King Charles every element of peace, joy and strength during his reign," she began. "I believe he will become a great King. For decades before it became popular, he has championed environmental issues and young people.
"For over 40 years The @princestrust has literally changed young people's lives. For decades too, we at The @prideofbritain Awards, have been privileged to meet so many of their Young Achiever Award winners. I've been an Ambassador for the Trust for a very long time and seen their work at close hand.
"The stories of these incredible young people range widely from former drug addiction and violence to then getting jobs they love because of the Trust, to being in prison and then going on to becoming a multi millionaire entrepreneur. All of them, and so many more, whose lives changed dramatically because of the @princestrust."
She went on: "One thing I know beyond any doubt whatsoever is that King Charles believes that no matter your background, no matter your story so far, there is goodness and a hope within us all. He has proven this time and time and time again, even though this may not be the narrative you read or see in the media.
"I have met King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla many times and have only words of respect and love towards them. A few photos attached through the years." Carol then concluded: "With love. A humble servant who tries her best."
When news of the Queen's death broke, Carol took to social media to share a stunning portrait of the then-young monarch. "Thank you Ma'am for all of your service and your dedication," she typed. "You have been the constant. We, in my family, are heartbroken. God Save The Queen."
