Carol Vorderman's 'gravity-defying backside' secrets revealed - and it's not surgery

The secrets behind Carol Vorderman's gravity-defying backside have been revealed - and it's a bit different to what you might think.

The 58-year-old former Countdown numbers guru is now being compared to Kim Kardashian after she "broke the internet" with her eye-popping rear.

There has been a lot of wonderment as to how Carol had achieved such a curvy derrière, with the telly star refusing to let much slip on the matter.

However, she did reveal that there was no surgery involved and that "having fun with special friends" has helped her achieve the figure, as the Mirror reports.

But there is a secret truth behind Vorders buttocks - and it probably wouldn't feature on many people's lists.

Speaking to Mail Online, Carol revealed that the secret was down to a family gene coupled with exercise and her having HRT.

Vorders may have picked up the Rear of the Year award in 2011 and 2014 but that version of Carol's backside was not a patch on the 2019 version.

Carol modestly said that her rear was "not news" as she has "always had a huge a***."

She has blamed her high-waisted jeggings for accentuating her backside and revealed that as "knickers dig into my big bum," she actually chooses to 'go commando'.

Carol denied surgery and said decades of working out had led to such a defined rear and stated that Vordermans are "sticky-out-bottom people."

The TV presenter said: "I promise I haven’t had bottom implants... I’ve been working out for decades, so the shape of mine is down to years of keeping fit."

Carol revealed her strenuous fitness schedule that includes a seven miles walk every day, in which she stides along at 3.5 miles per hour.

Then there is the gym workout, which involves a 12kg kettle bell and sets of, "12 very slow, deep squats."

Explaining the secret to her perfect bottom, Carol said: "You go down slowly and power up. They’re called goblet squats. They’re much more precise and targeted, and by the end your muscles are screaming!

"Then I do a straight-arm plank as well as lunges and hip thrusts with weights."

Then there is the HRT doses which sees her taking double the amount of testosterone and has increased the oestrogen by 50 per cent.

She has also cited her increased libido, brought on by the HRT, as a way to keep her figure in shape, stating that she "gets up to a lot of mischief."

Carol revealed that she has plenty of options for a little sexy time, saying: "I have a number of special friends but I’m not doing anything wrong. Everyone’s single. And yes, apart from one, they’re all younger than me."

She added: "I don’t want to settle down. I’m enjoying my freedom."

With results like that, it would seem ridiculous for Carol to change her winning formula.
