Carol Vorderman reignites feud with famous former friend by offering her 'free advice'

Ex-Countdown star Carol Vorderman has seemingly reignited a feud with Member of the House of Lords Michelle Mone. The 62-year-old, who regularly makes appearances on ITV’s This Morning, hit out at her former friend and told her that she could offer her some “free advice”.

In a post on Twitter, Carol wrote: "The PR company Michelle Mone paid to ‘rescue her image’ has dropped her!!

“Here's some free PR advice... 1. Pay back the money you've taken as a Pandemic Profiteer. 2. Say you're sorry 3. Give a multi million pound donation to an NHS Charity on top. Cos only that could even begin to rescue your image." Do you agree with Carol? Let us know in the comments.

Between 2020-2022, in a series of investigative pieces, The Guardian reported that Michelle and her children had secretly received £29 million of profits to an offshore trust from government PPE contracts, which she had lobbied for during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Carol previously slammed Michelle during an appearance on BBC panel show Have I Got News for You? She said at the time: "It is just the very worst thing that anyone can do, to profiteer from the first lockdown. It's absolutely disgusting.”

She added: "A lot of evidence has been put forward now and the National Crime Agency raided her and husband's homes and offices - we're a year on and nothing has been done. It's insulting and disgusting that nothing has happened either way, frankly."

Carol appeared on the show with regular team captains Ian Hislop and Paul Merton, and guest host Steph McGovern, from Channel 4 Steph's Packed Lunch. Watch the episode now on BBC iPlayer and more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
