Carol Vorderman has defended the crowds at King Charles' Coronation on Saturday who chose to boo Prince Andrew as arrived at Westminster Abbey to celebrate his brother.
It was arguably the biggest day of King Charles' life as he finally became King at the age of 73, but as the crowds gathered near Westminster Abbey, things took a turn as heckles and hollers could be heard as Prince Andrew made his way to the ceremony.
The disgraced member of the Royal family was accompanied alongside his daughters Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice.
While some social media users insisted that it wasn't the time or the place to boo King Charles' controversial brother, former Countdown star Carol, 60, argued otherwise.
The I'm A Celebrity South Africa star instead praised the crowds for their reaction to Prince Andrew's arrival at the Coronation ceremony as she shared her opinion on the matter on Twitter.
"Andrew 'I'm so honourable I had to go to New York to tell Epstein I didn't want to be friends with him, after he became a convicted paedophile' was booed by crowds as he arrived at Coronation," she penned on her Twitter account.
"Good for the crowds......" she added.
Prince Andrew did not have a formal role during the Coronation due to him stepping down from royal duties in 2019.
He left his royal duties after his friendship with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein came to light.
Prince Andrew was later stripped of his royal HRH title in January 2022 following accusations of sexual assault against Virginia Giuffre - who was a victim of Epstein when she was a teenager.
Although Prince Andrew has continued to deny the accusations, he has paid millions to settle the claims in court settlements in the US.
Following Carol's tweet, several of her fans flocked to agree with her opinion as they slammed King Charles for inviting his disgraced brother.
"He should not have been there. Disgraced royal arrogant as always, unacceptable, I could not muster up any enthusiasm for them," one fumed.
"Shocked and sickened that he was even there. What is the world coming to. It's actually frightening," another echoed.
Meanwhile, a third raged: "Prince Harry is getting all the abuse for apparently 'leaving early' but Prince Andrew was there??? Make it make sense."
