Carol Vorderman misses This Morning appearance and shares health update

Carol Vorderman was forced to miss This Morning after falling ill. The former Countdown star, who regularly appears on the ITV daytime programme, shared an update with followers and revealed she was feeling "rough as a bear".

The 61-year-old explained: "Four days into the flu thing.....not brushed my hair for 4 days and coughing like a good 'un. Rough as a bear's... Sorry I won't be on @thismorning...sending love to the fam. And thank you for all your lovely messages. You're tops."

Wearing a dressing gown, Carol then shared a video and said: "Well... I'm four days into the flu thing. Oh god I feel rough... er and look it. I haven't brushed my hair for four days so there's that. Thank you for all your lovely messages."

Carol then began to wheeze and cough as she added: "Sorry I won't be on This Morning, this morning. I was looking forward to it as well. Date Busters. It'll be better soon. Oh, I need a cup of tea."

Yesterday Carol shared a tray with oranges and dairy milk buttons and told fans: "Vitamin C, tea and chocolate. No whisky in the house. What kind of place is this???"

Carol was quickly flooded with support as one fan asked: ""No Radio Wales tomorrow either then Carol? Will Nathan fly solo? Get well soon."
