Carol Vorderman has issued a health update for Lorraine Kelly as she fills in for the ITV host.
Lorraine, 62, confirmed she had tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday and would be replaced by the former Countdown host on her breakfast show. Speaking to Susanna Reid, Carol gave an update on the Scottish presenter.
Appearing on Good Morning Britain, Susanna asked: "Carol is in for Lorraine this morning, how is Lorraine getting on?" Carol gives a positive update on the presenters health: "Well she's feeling great, which is fantastic. Hopefully she will be here later in the week but you know with tests and everything."
Taking to social media, Lorraine announced she would be missing her show, writing: "Well the Covid has finally got me and I tested positive at the weekend. Thanks to the vaccine it’s not too bad and I hope to be back at work very soon. Huge thanks to @carolvorders who will be hosting @lorraine until I’m back."
Fans flocked to the comments to send Lorraine well wishes. One wrote: "Me too! Tested positive on Saturday, hope you feel better than I do"
Another penned: "Awww poor you Lorraine!! Hope you're ok and it's not too severe with the vaccines helping!! Thank goodness!!! Get well soon!!" A third said: "Ahh nooo.... hope your feeling better soon. Cuddles with the fur babies"
