Carol Vorderman has issued an update on Lorraine Kelly's health as the Scottish host missed a second day on her ITV show. Carol, 61, has stepped in for presenting duties whilst she is off sick and made her debut yesterday, Monday, July 11.
Talking to Susanna Reid during a Good Morning Britain link, Carol said of Lorraine: "She's feeling great, which is fantastic, so hopefully she'll be here later in the week but you know, all the tests and things have to be done so fingers crossed."
The GMB host replied: "It's lovely to still have you there," as Carol told her: "I tried knocking on your dressing room door this morning."

On Tuesday's (July 12) show, Carol spoke to Louise Redknapp about summer fashion and Christine McGuinness who discussed her marriage woes. She was also joined by a happiness expert who showed her how to manifest happiness as well as someone who is trying to help others ditch alcohol.
Posting a photograph of her dogs, Lorraine confirmed that she had Covid Monday, July 11: "The dreaded Covid has finally caught up with me."
She added: "I am so thankful to the scientists who developed the vaccine! Being looked after by @rosiekellysmith @rubyisasausage and @steveandangussmith - thanks to @carolvorders for hosting @lorraine until I’m back!"
Fans flooded social media to wish Lorraine a speedy recovery. One person said: "Get well soon xxx"
