Carol Vorderman has been stepping in for Lorraine Kelly on her ITV daytime show Lorraine, after she tested positive for Covid over the weekend.
And the former Countdown presenter, 61, has delighted her fans as they got to see her beaming face on telly for two mornings running.
But Carol has revealed that showbiz life is not all glitz and glamour as she shared a behind the scenes snap of her dressing room at the ITV studios on Tuesday morning.
Carol posted a selfie to her Instagram Story as she went makeup free before getting ready to sit in front of the cameras.
The fitness fanatic showed off her ultra-toned physique as she posed in front of a full-length mirror in her dressing room.
Carol wore a white t-shirt emblazoned with the word ‘STRONGER’ and a pair of black subtly striped leggings from the same brand.
She wrote on the image: “Morning 5.30am…. I’m ready for this amazing day….join me on @lorraine at 9….don’t worry makeup will have been applied by then!!! Don’t want to frighten the children.”
Her latest telly gig comes after speculation started to mount that Carol could be the next presenter of Countdown, after Anne Robinson quit the show following a year of hosting.
Rumours that Carol could be the next to step into the presenter's shoes has got her fans excited, who have supported a comeback to Countdown by Vorders.
Carol hasn't done much to dampen speculation about her return and seemed to fan the flames of expectancy with an Instagram post.
She teased her followers by writing on the social media site: "On my way to work, can't wait to tell you what it is next week. Expect trouble."
Fans immediately jumped to the conclusion that Carol would be back on the show, which she starred on from 1982 to 2008.
