Carol Vorderman brushes off troll who made uncalled for comment about her appearance

Carol Vorderman has laughed off a rude comment one follower made about her appearance.

The Countdown Whizz has had an amazing start to 2022, having spent some time in the Portuguese sun last month at a health retreat.

On Monday, January 31, fans were left amused after Carol sassily hit back at a troll who made an uncalled for comment about her appearance.

Posting on Instagram earlier in the week, Carol said: "MONDAY Someone just sent me a comment,

"'Carol, why don't you brush your hair for once' How outrageous.....

"I brushed it last Friday.... Some people"

Brushing off the troll with laughing emojis, fans of Carol hopped into the comments to defend the maths genius.

One fan said: "this has made me howl. The rudeness of some people", to which Carol replied "makes me laugh".

Meanwhile, others reassured the television star that she looked 'fabulous' and 'beautiful'.

Clive said: "How rude, its our Welsh windswept look"

Carol, whose mother Jean was Welsh, has recently revealed the heartbreaking reason why she was not allowed to return to her home country as a child.

For Dydd Santes Dwynwen last week, Carol posted: "Happy Welsh Valentine's Day. For some they say I love you (Dwi'n caru ti) to their beloved. For me I say Iove you to my country.

"It's a real love.... We have a word for it in Welsh. HIRAETH.

"I grew up in Wales and only known Wales for my first 20 years and then my Mum left my stepfather (who I ADORED) and told me I couldn't go back home.

"So I didn't for a very long time. I had to block it out. This was before the Internet was even created. Only letters and sporadic phone calls kept us in touch with family back then. Now I'm there half of the year at least and growing."

Carol has recently bought a van, which is currently being done up for all her adventures in Wales.
